We understand that saying goodbye is essential
Making use of our the chapel and private rooms
J T Byrne Funeral Directors will consult with you to identify the type of funeral ceremony your loved one would have wanted, whether it’s a traditional service from their religion, a eulogy-based service or a humanist funeral. No matter the choice of service, we will ensure it is carried out with respect and dignity. Based in Thornton-Cleveleys and serving Lancashire, we are with you every step of the way to ensure you make the right decisions for your loved one.
Viewing your loved one
Our private chapel of rest is a peaceful, non-denominational space where you can spend time with your deceased loved one in the run up to the funeral, laying photographs or personal memorabilia as a sign of respect. Our chapel of rest is open to you between 8.30 am and 4.30 pm on weekdays, you may visit without a prior appointment. At weekends and early evenings, we insist you make an appointment if you wish to visit.
Many people may wish to place a personal item such as a piece of jewellery, a letter, card, picture, or favourite book with their loved one as a last act of respect and devotion. J T Byrne Funeral Directors encourages this thoughtful act, and are happy to help you honour your loved one in any way.
